PSYCHO
monk
· The name was chosen with the utmost intention ·
If you find yourself questioning why this privileged, white person would deign to bastardize a title like “monk” and don the intersectionally-polarizing badge of “psycho,” then you are asking the right questions. I use the word “psycho” because it elicits an emotional response that I invite you to look into, either with me or in your personal time. Does my use of that word upset you? If so, why? The use is meant to open a dialogue and be a reclamation of the word in defiance of the stigma we are all familiar with. “Psycho” is a slang word used to describe a living thing (usually human, sometimes animal) who seems to display behavior that meets criteria to be classified as psychotic.* The words psycho and psychotic have been used negatively to describe folks undergoing complicated states of experience and perception. This discrimination is mainly based in fear and lacking education, and the slang usage of “psycho” is poorly used to describe individuals who experience a different kind of reality. Who decided what reality is? We could go back to Plato if you’d like. But at the end of the day, we are all still grasping at an elusive truth. Of course, there are common denominators we have collectively agreed upon, such as a few laws of physics, the refraction of light, basic understanding of earth and our solar system, and that there are basic elements required for organic life to thrive. All these ideas were deemed “psychotic” and “unrealistic” in their times, by the way. However, reality and perception are not the same thing. Who decided what is proper to perceive? In my opinion, many mental disorders deemed and diagnosed as “psychotic” are actually clumsy and rudimentary attempts to understand an interaction between human consciousness and something else very, very complex. More writings to come on this subject.
*Psychosis: a mental disorder characterized by a disconnection from reality.
[not to be confused with psychopathy]
I am not a psychologist nor a psychiatrist. I did study psychology extensively in college, where I graduated top of my class with a BFA, but I do not claim to be an expert. However, I do deal with my own unique set of neurodivergences that has proven helpful in understanding idiosyncrasies in neurology and psychology in relation to psychic behavior. Misophonia, synesthesia, Lyme, Long Covid, connective tissue diseases like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, chronic anxiety, ME (formerly known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), clinical depression, and overall high sensitivity is my current tea bag. Blended with this, I’m psychic and empathic, so basically a human dowering rod! I share my personal portfolio of disorders (lol) to humanize myself and to hopefully help you trust that I will try to understand you in the psychic space just as much if not more than the physical.
I use the word “monk” to describe myself merely because monks devote their lives to their spiritual practice and are usually dedicated to acts of service. I am obviously not an official “monk” with a title from a religious authority. Again, I chose to use a word with preconceived connotations to invite dialogue if the usage makes you upset. Who are the real monks? Why can’t you be a monk of your own divine service if you are sincere? I am here to be of service to you and the collective with the gifts I have been given. You may do with that what you will. Much love to you, my friends.

What is psychic guidance and healing?
Psychic energy healing is a combination of a sensitive’s ability to perceive into the subtle layers *of* and around a person and the utilization of a healing practice to help whatever issues are perceived. Some psychics are healers, some are not. Not all healers are psychics, for that matter. Psychic healers, however, know how to perceive subtly on a level(s) others do not commonly or physically perceive, whether through clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, or a combination.
There are so many avenues of psychic healing, most if not all deriving from ancient wisdom relied upon for centuries. Some were lost to time, some are well preserved. Most are somewhere in between, especially with the modern white-washing of many Eastern healing practices. Some of these healing modalities, such as Reiki (the ancient Japanese practice and study of energy flow and healing) are available to modern humans and are quite effective if done with proper respect, attunement, education, and practice.
Much, much more information is available on the very large subject of psychic healing. Please ask any questions, and if I do not know the answer I will attempt to refer you to literature I have found helpful.
